Founding principles

This web site is founded upon the following principles:

I. People should be able to read or view what they want to

Freedom of speech is established by the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

II. People should be able to avoid reading or viewing what they wish not to

There are two reasons for this, one ethical and one practical:

People have different tastes—what one person might find disgusting, another might find quite enjoyable. There is no reason to force upon people that which they do not want to see. It is impolite.

Of course, there is no law that says one must be polite. However, if we display words and images that some people find violently offensive, and if we leave them in places where they can stumble into them accidentally, or even worse, where their children can stumble into them accidentally, we are tacitly encouraging government to regulate what we can display.

This is why the pages at this web site carry ICRA and SafeSurf content labels. Web users who have browsers that support these labels (Microsoft Internet Explorer, for example), can set their browsers to refuse to display any pages with adult content.

III. Intellectual property rights should be respected

Writers and photographers work hard to produce their work. They should get proper credit for this. Plagiarism, claiming someone else's work as one's own, is one of the lowest of acts, as it stifles creativity, something that is all too rare in the world today.

Many writers and photographers make a living from their work. One cannot just take their work and distribute it without their permission—to do so destroys their market, as people will not buy what they can get for free. Again, this stifles creativity.

Copyright laws were created to protect creative people, and to keep their works from being misappropriated. When they create something, they own the copyright, unless they choose to give it to someone else. You cannot just load their work up to the web without their permission. This is why all words on these pages are copyrighted by me, or by someone else who has given me permission to post them. Any photographs were either taken by me, or are included under the Fair Use clause and are properly attributed.

IV. Child pornography should not be condoned

Actual child pornography is a crime against children, as it involves the abuse of children.  Simulated child pornography puts all adult web sites in a bad light, as they get lumped in with the child pornographers in the eyes of the public and the law.  This site does not contain or condone child pornography.  All models were over 18 years of age at the time of the creation of the photographs.
